The Eligibility Center of MHMRA Harris County is the clinic to apply for mental health services for all Harris County residents.
We are located at:
3630 W. Dallas
Houston, Tx 77036
Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Because we are a walk in clinic, we do not accept walk-ins after 5:00 pm M-Th or after 3:00pm on Friday.
Adult Services
The Eligibility Center is the referral program for all Harris County residents that are 18 years old and above. All adults who have been to a State Hospital and are returning to Harris Co. that have been deemed appropriate for MHMRA mental health services will be seen at the Eligibility Center. We are also the referral site for NPC, MCOT and HCPC patients that are appropriate for our services.
Our licensed staff will complete a clinical assessment for those persons who are seeking mental health services, are Harris County residents, are not referred by the above facilities and do not have the ability to pay for private mental health services.
This assessment will take approximately 90 minutes. We provide services for those individuals who are diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder (all types), Major Depressive Disorder (all types) with a GAF of 50 or less, Schizophrenia (all types) and Schizoaffective Disorder. Additionally, we will complete the Financial Assessment and schedule the individual with a clinic appointment to begin treatment. People with substance abuse diagnoses will receive treatment only with a primary diagnosis of mental health as stated above.

Annual financial assessments may be completed at the Eligibility Center. Please check the financial attachment to ensure that all proper documentation is provided.
