Consumer Satisfaction Surveys
Expanded consumer satisfaction surveying to include outpatient unit of NeuroPsychiatric Center (NPC), Assertive Community Treatment teams, New Day Program, Behavioral Treatment Program, and the Consumer Benefits Office. Implemented bi-annual surveys of law enforcement satisfaction with the NPC.

Rights Committee, Proposed Studies
Provided support for the Committee for Protection of Human (Research) Subjects, including review of proposed studies and liaison work with 12 universities, agencies, and research organizations.

Consumer Compliance with New Generation Medications
Conducted a study concerning compliance and side-effects among Adult Mental Health consumers who are taking new generation antipsychotic medications and compared their compliance and side effects with consumers on typical antipsychotic medications.

Impact of Medicaid Policy Change
Surveyed Medicaid-eligible Adult Mental Health consumers concerning how they were affected by changes in prescription practices. A comparison was also made with the group of consumers who were not affected by the policy change.

TDMHMR survey of CAS satisfaction
Assisted TDMHMR with the administration of its consumer satisfaction survey among MHMRA Child and Adolescent Services consumers in Harris county.

Physician Performance Targets
Developed a methodology to provide routine information by individual physicians in terms of 1) rates of crisis center visits among his/her patients, 2) revenue and effort (productivity) indicators, and 3) frequency of service indicators.

Service Utilization, Market Penetration
Conducted analysis to provide policy and decision-support information regarding: patient flow at the NPC; county of residence of agency consumers; pathways to intensive service use; consumers needing assistance with securing financial and health benenfits; consumers eligible for and capable of benefiting from new generation medications.

Community Collaborations
Served as consultant to research projects on public hospital recidivism and on mental health services for women parolees, a Mental Health Needs Council subcommittee on public mental health service capacity, and assisted the Harris County Community Access Collaborative.
