WHAT WE DO
The consultative service program provides specialized speech/language, psychological and behavioral consultations to families and professionals.

WHO WE SERVE
We serve adults, ages 18 and over, diagnosed with mental retardation and/or autism or other pervasive developmental disorder (PDD). We also serve children who are not eligible for speech and language services through the public school system.
HOW TO ACCESS THIS SERVICE
The first step in the application process is to contact the consumer’s Service Coordinator and request a referral. The referral must include a valid Determination of Mental Retardation and current information regarding the consumer’s medical condition and behavioral issues. ABOUT TRANSPORTATION
Services are provided at MHMRA offices. Consumers/families provide their own transportation. Consumers with special transportation needs should contact their service coordinators to find out if they are eligible for transportation assistance.
FEES YOU MAY HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS SERVICE
A financial assessment determines whether co-payments apply and/or if MHMRA is a part of your Insurance Provider Network. Services for HCS and ICF-MR consumers are arranged through contracts with their providers.
