The Behavior Day Program is an intense, time-limited day program for adults. We help our consumers manage severe behaviors so that they can make better use of available community resources and live and work in the community with greater independence. The Behavior Day Program offers the following services:
We serve adults, ages 18 and over, diagnosed with severe behavior problems and one or more of the following:
The first step in the application process is to contact the consumer’s Service Coordinator and request a referral. The referral must include a valid Determination of Mental Retardation and current information regarding the consumer’s medical condition and behavioral issues. If the consumer does not have a Mental Retardation Division Service Coordinator visit this link to learn how to access MHMRA services.
Consumers provide their own transportation. Consumers with special needs for transportation should contact their Service Coordinators to find out if they are eligible for transportation assistance.
A financial assessment determines whether co-payments apply and/or if MHMRA is a part of your Insurance Provider Network. Consumers will need spending money for community rehearsal outings.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Our goal is to assist in developing communication and social skills in order to maintain stable behavior in various community settings. |
